Glacial Humming

 Glacial humming is a music-social practice I have incorporated into my composing and performance practice. At the moment, glacial humming is the canvas for my ensemble concept piece, ‘come back to earth.’ ‘come back to earth’ is a musical response to the Earthseed sections of the parables novels by Octavia Butler. The following two excerpts are from rehearsals of two different groups led by myself at Banff, CA and Brooklyn, NY.
